![]() ![]() **5) Bonus: How to add a second 1080p webcam for only 20$ (if you own an iphone)*\* Ok so this post is great, but maybe you only have your computer webcam and you aren't looking to drop 120$ on a good quality webcam. *If you want to add this to your restream it requires the paid restream in order to add a custom RTMP.Įdit2: Credit to u/shotsandvideos, apparently Yellow Duck works to stream to Instagram from OBS ![]() *note: for DJ sets, you may get pulled from Insta Live if you are playing songs for which you do not own the copyright.*Įdit: Credit to RonFlow, apparently you can use for 5 free streams to instagram live from obs. (Instagram live has a about 5 second delay from my experience.) (I run a RCA to 3.5mm jack to the sc4).Īdditionally using voicemeter you can still output the audio which you routed to OBS out through your AI which means you can have a more or less synced audio between your live stream and Instagram live. This works even through the lighting adapter for Iphones 7+. You can actually directly input the audio from your AI! With a Rode SC4 Adapter (or similar) which runs about 10$ you can take the output and trick your Phone into thinking it is a mic input. BUT you are not limited to picking up the audio of your speakers. In order to stream to Instagram live you will need an Instagram account and you simply 'Go Live'. Once you have done that - hit stream and you should be pushed live to all your linked accounts!Ĥ) Instragram LiveSo Instagram Live is it's own ecosystem. In settings, set up your stream info using Restream (log-in) and the stream key. Once you have all your accounts set up you can get a stream key from Restream. Restream allows you to stream, simultaneously to all your accounts - for free! (NOTE: with the free version you are limited to a personal Facebook page, in order to stream to a band/business page you need to have a premium account at about 20$ a month.) Afterwards you can create an account on Restream and add all your different accounts. Twitch, Youtube, Periscope, Facebook, LinkedIn etc etc etc. ![]() (You can record some tests to your harddrive and watch them back to check for delays or test audio levels.) How to go about streaming? You are going to want to create an account on any and all platforms you wish to stream to. Ok so now you should have a video and audio all set up in OBS. This option has a bit more latency, but at 2048 eliminated crackling for me.** common issue 2* is there now a latency between the audio from your program and the video from your webcam? You can add a filter to your video to add a delay to the video OR you can enter a delay value in your advanced audio properties to delay the audio (depending on which is delayed.* *common issue- crackling? Try reducing your buffer size or in a pinch switch from ASIO to MME. Now the audio from your internal software is coming into OBS. ![]() With this installed, change your audio preferences in your software to route to voice meter, and then in OBS add an audio and in the preferences change it to voicemeter. I found Voicemeter (free) to be highly effective. *common issue - if you are trying to screen capture and your screen is black in OBS change the graphics from dedicated graphics card to internal graphics card in your NVIDIA control panel settings*Įdit: User u/ImVinnyBee suggests using streamlabs OBS instead of OBS as apparently the setup is easier and apparently it uses less CPU.Ģ) Getting Audio From DAW or DJ Software into OBS for your livestreamOk so in order to get sound from a DAW or DJ software into OBS you will need a program to internally route the audio. You can also add a microphone source (internal or external coming in through an audio interface) and music source (an input from the AI or can be from a daw internally - more below). In OBS you will want to create your scene, you can add you web cam as a video source, do a screen capture of your computer, or both by resizing the window of each. **1) OBS (or some sort of streaming software)**In order to stream to any and all platforms (besides Instagram Live, more on that below) you will need a streaming software. To be honest it is quite easy, but I had to trouble shoot a ton along the way so hopefully this post can serve as a one stop shop to get you up and running. I've spent the last 2 weeks figuring out the ins and outs of how to live stream a live Dj set (from ableton) and wanted to share my knowledge for all those thinking about doing the same. So with everyone stuck inside, there has been a near overnight explosion in livestreams. ![]()
